E. JOHN ELDRIDGE, M.D., S.C., EYE PHYSICIAN AND SURGEON

GLASSES AND CONTACT LENSES

We usually perform a refraction (glasses test) as part of our complete medical examination of your eyes.  If glasses are necessary, we will give you a prescription to take to an optician.  We do not sell glasses in our office.  We do not have any financial interest in any optical supplier.

If you are interested in contact lenses, a return appointment for a contact lens fitting can be scheduled with Dr. Eldridge.  A wide variety of contact lenses are available, including the latest in rigid gas-permeable, tinted, monovision, soft lenses to correct astigmatism and extended wear lenses.  For existing contact lens wearers, we will not reorder lenses, write a prescription for lenses, or authorize a prescription renewal for lenses if you have not had a comprehensive eye examination within the past twelve months.
